9-Signal User Matching
ClickerVolt sends comprehensive user data to Google Ads for enhanced matching:
Identity Signals (hashed)
Email - SHA-256 hashed, with Gmail-specific normalization
Phone - Normalized with leading +, hashed
First Name - Lowercased, hashed
Last Name - Lowercased, hashed
Address Info (plain text per Google specs)
City - From visitor telemetry, lowercased
State - Region code from IP geolocation
Postal Code - Country-aware formatting
Country Code - 2-letter ISO code

Cross-Device Signal Restoration
When a user converts on a different device than they originally clicked, ClickerVolt restores all their captured signals:
GCLID from original click is preserved in visitor profile
All captured PII (email, phone, names) from any source is stored and restored
Original User-Agent is stored per-click for accurate device matching
Geographic data enriches the conversion with address info
Benefit: Your conversions are attributed correctly even when users switch devices, improving your Smart Bidding accuracy.
Gmail-Specific Normalization
Google ignores dots in Gmail addresses. ClickerVolt automatically normalizes Gmail addresses to match Google's internal format:
jane.doe@gmail.com → janedoe@gmail.com
john.smith@googlemail.com → johnsmith@googlemail.com
Non-Gmail addresses are left unchanged
This ensures your hashed emails match Google's database for maximum attribution.
Automatic Fallback
If your Google Ads account hasn't accepted the Customer Data Processing Terms, Enhanced Conversions will fail. ClickerVolt automatically handles this:
Enhanced Conversion with PII is attempted first
If Terms error detected, conversion is retried without PII
Conversion is recorded as Standard (gclid-only) conversion
No data is lost - your attribution still works
