Link Status Management

Link Management

ClickerVolt provides multiple status options to control your tracking links throughout their lifecycle.

Available Statuses

Active

The link is live and accepting traffic. This is the default status for newly created links.

  • Link appears in dashboard

  • Tracking URL redirects to targets

  • Statistics are collected

  • Conversions are tracked

Paused

The link is temporarily disabled but not hidden. Use this when you want to make a link unavailable to the public while keeping it visible in your dashboard.

  • Link appears in dashboard with default filter (Active & Paused)

  • Tracking URL shows 404 "Link not found" error

  • No traffic is sent to targets

  • Historical data remains accessible

Archived

The link is hidden from the main dashboard but all data is preserved. Use this for completed campaigns you want to keep for historical reference.

  • Link hidden from default dashboard view

  • Can be found using "Archived" status filter

  • All statistics and data retained

  • Tracking URL shows 404 "Link not found" error

Deleted

The link is permanently removed from your account and its slug becomes available for reuse.

  • Link removed from dashboard

  • Slug can be reused for new links

  • Historical data is retained for reporting purposes

  • Tracking URL shows 404 "Link not found" error

You can change a link status in two ways:

Status changes take effect immediately.

Use Cases

Temporarily Disabling Links

Pause a link when you need to make it unavailable to the public while keeping it visible in your dashboard. This is useful when you need to stop traffic temporarily for any reason while maintaining easy access to the link in your workspace.

Archiving Seasonal Campaigns

Archive holiday or seasonal campaigns after they end to keep your dashboard clean while preserving all historical data for future reference.

Cleaning Up Your Dashboard

Use the "Active Only" status filter to hide paused links from your dashboard when you want to focus only on currently running campaigns.

Advanced Topics

Status and Statistics

Changing a link status does not affect historical statistics. All past clicks and conversions remain in your data regardless of current status.

Paused or archived links can be reactivated at any time by changing their status back to "Active".
