Understanding Visitor Profiles
Visitor Profiles provide deep insights into individual visitor behavior across all your tracking links. Each profile tracks a visitor's complete journey, from their first click through conversions and custom events.
Accessing Visitor Profiles
There are two ways to open a visitor profile:
From the Visitor List page - Click on any visitor row to open their profile in a side panel
From Raw Events - When viewing raw events for a link or target, click on any visitor ID to see their complete profile
The profile opens in a slide panel, allowing you to view details without losing your place in the main interface.
Profile Header
The top of the profile displays key visitor information:
Visitor ID - The unique identifier for this visitor
First Seen - When the visitor first clicked one of your links
Last Seen - The most recent activity timestamp
Total Clicks - Number of times the visitor has clicked your links
Quality Score - Automated assessment of visitor quality (0-100)
Activity Timeline
The Activity Timeline shows a chronological list of all visitor actions:
Link Clicks - Every time the visitor clicked one of your tracking links
Target Redirects - Which destination URL they were sent to
Conversions - When and where the visitor converted
Custom Events - Any custom events (Events 1-10) triggered by the visitor
Timestamps - All times displayed in your selected timezone
Each activity entry shows the link name, target destination, and any associated metadata like revenue or transaction IDs for conversions.
Funnel Visualization
If you use multi-step funnels, the Funnel Visualization section displays:
Funnel Path - The sequence of funnel steps the visitor has progressed through
Current Position - Where the visitor is currently in your funnel
Completion Status - Whether the visitor has completed the funnel
Drop-off Points - If the visitor abandoned the funnel, where they stopped
This helps you understand individual visitor journeys through your sales funnels and identify where specific visitors may need additional nurturing.
Device and Location Data
Visitor profiles include geographic and device information:
Country - Primary country the visitor accesses your links from
Device Type - Desktop, Mobile, or Tablet
Browser - Web browser used (when available)
ISP - Internet Service Provider information
Note that device information may vary if the visitor switches devices between visits.
Multiple Access Points
Visitor profiles are accessible from multiple locations in the interface:
Visitors page - Main visitor list with search and filtering
Raw Events slider - When drilling into click, conversion, or event details
Dashboard metrics - Click visitor counts to see filtered visitor lists
This ensures you can always access visitor details in context, whether you're analyzing overall traffic or investigating specific events.
Data Limitations
Important considerations about visitor profile data:
Historical Limitation - Visitor tracking began November 21, 2025. No profile data exists before this date.
Cookie-Based Tracking - Visitors are identified by browser cookies. If a visitor clears cookies or uses a different device, they may appear as a new visitor.
Privacy Compliance - All visitor tracking complies with privacy regulations. No personally identifiable information is stored without consent.
Data Retention - Visitor data is retained according to your account settings and applicable data retention policies.
Loading States
When opening a visitor profile, you'll see a loading spinner with the message "Loading profile..." while the data is fetched. This ensures the most up-to-date visitor information is displayed.
If a visitor profile cannot be loaded (typically for visitors before November 21, 2025), you'll see a message: "Visitor details not available for past traffic - feature added 21st of November, 2025"
